In a recent blog post, Instagram announced that it is testing recommended posts in the feed as a new way to help users find content that they may like.

"Our goal is to make Feed the best place to share and connect with the people and interests that matter most to you. Now with recommended posts, you can see even more of what’s being shared by our community."

Once a user has seen all new posts from the people he or she follows, they will then have the option to "View Past Posts" or "Keep Scrolling For Recommendations." If they choose to keep scrolling, they will see a "Recommended For You" message and underneath it will be recommended posts based on the people they follow and photos and videos they like.

Testing of the recommended posts will begin over the next few days. Instagram plans to make revisions to the feature based on user feedback before officially launching it.

Earlier this month, Instagram a launched time-management tools to help users manage their time on their accounts
