Instagram Introduces Custom Names & Scheduling Features for Reels Drafts

Instagram / Reels Drafts

Instagram has introduced two updates for Reels drafts.

First, users can now customize the names of their drafts. To rename a draft, simply tap the three dots next to it, enter a custom name, and save. Second, users can now schedule Reels to go live at a later date directly from the drafts folder via a Schedule option.

Why It Matters: These updates offer benefits for both creators and brands.

Naming drafts helps users stay organized, especially when managing various Reels for different campaigns or content strategies.

Meanwhile, scheduling Reels directly from the drafts folder improves efficiency, enabling creators and brands to batch-create content and post it at optimal times without relying on third-party tools.

Although Instagram still lacks some advanced functionalities, features like Grid Previews, native Content Scheduling, and Multiple Links in bio are signs of Instagram’s push to offer more robust tools natively to help creators and brands with their workflows.
