Gucci Mane teams up with The Weeknd for radio friendly single "Curve"

Gucci Mane The Weeknd "Curve"

Gucci Mane is gearing up for the release of Mr. Davis. With the new album around the corner, the prolific Atlanta rapper delivers a new single in "Curve."

Produced by XO signee NAV, the radio friendly song finds him teaming up with The Weeknd for the first time. Ahead of premiering the song on Beats 1 radio, he told Zane Lane that the collaboration was a result of the two artists being fans of each other.

"We exchanged numbers and started to build a rapport with each other. And we were bouncing off records; I’ll send him records, he’ll send me beats. And then one day he sent me this record that Nav produced. It was like an early birthday gift or Christmas present.”

Over the dark, hypnotizing backing, Gucci and The Weeknd showcase great chemistry as they deliver slick verses in their signature styles about "curving" women who they think no longer deserve their attention.  As a result of their strong efforts, look for "Curve" to be in heavy rotation on the radio and in the clubs throughout the fall.

The song will appear on Mr. Davis, which was originally due out September 15th, however it has been pushed back to a October 15th release date. The extra month should be helpful for Gucci as he will have plenty of time to the promote the album while on The Weeknd's Legend Of The Fall Tour.

Along with The Weeknd, the album will feature guest appearances from A$AP Rocky, Ty Dolla $ign, Young Dolph, Big Sean, Nicki Minaj, Migos, Monica, Chris Brown and much more.
