Google is the newest to take advantage of the Stories content format with AMP Stories

Google AMP Stories

From Snapchat to Instagram to Facebook, the Stories content format is becoming a popular feature on apps. Google has taken note and becomes the newest to take advantage of the addictive content format.

As part of the company's AMP (Accelerated Mobile Pages) Project, Google introduces AMP Stories, providing publishers with a mobile-friendly format for delivering content through rich, tap-through Stories. They were birthed out of the company's realization that although people browse a lot of articles on mobile devices, they rarely engage with them.

With AMP Stories, Google believes that visually appealing content, made up of images, videos, and graphics will help publishers grab and keep the attention of people surfing the Internet on mobile devices. Some of these publishers include CNN, Conde Nast, Hearst, Mashable, Meredith, Mic, Vox Media, and The Washington Post, who Google partnered with in developing the content format.

You can check out AMP Stories by visiting g.co/ampstories on your mobile device and searching for one of the publishers mentioned above.
