ESPN Films and Netflix are teaming up for a Michael Jordan documentary called 'The Last Dance'
ESPN Films and Netflix have announced that they will be coming together for a documentary about Michael Jordan called The Last Dance. The documentary series will chronicle Jordan and the Chicago Bulls' rise as well as the popularity of the NBA during the 1990s.
Featuring a total of 10 hours that are powered by over 500 hours of never-before-seen footage from the Bulls' last championship run in the 1997-98 season, Jordan, his teammates, and other key basketball figures will provide commentary. Jason Hehir, who was behind well-received documentaries like The Fab, The '85 Bears, and Andre The Giant is directing it while Mike Tollin handles the producing duties.
The Last Dance is scheduled to be released in 2019 on Netflix.
