Drake joins Trouble on long-awaited collaboration "Bring It Back"
During a LA Leakers interview last year, Mike Will Made-It talked about his relationship with Duct Tape Entertainment's Trouble. He revealed that he had a joint project with the Atlanta rapper that featured a collaboration with Drake. Since that interview, much hasn't been said about the collaboration until now.
To Trouble and Drake fans across the world, the long-awaited collaboration finally sees the light of the day in the form of a track titled "Bring It Back." Featuring a minimialist yet hard-hitting backing, the rappers come together and deliver a club friendly anthem that commands high volume.
Trouble kicks the track off with easy to digest lyrics that lay on top of the production seamlessly. He directs his bars at haters, rapping "Hating on that man won’t do you no blessing / Tryna teach a young ni**a flexin’ / Wanna go to war, but you ain’t got no money / Worrying ’bout these hoes and you ain’t got no money."
Followed by a catchy hook that incorporates the song title, Drake makes an appearance and delivers memorable lines including one that is bound to spark curiosity in listeners and have them doing a few Google searches. The 6 God reveals a weird connection to 2Pac in the middle of his verse as he rap "Do it for the 6 because we started there / I got a girl that used to ride around with 'Pac an' them."
“Bring It Back" is scheduled to appear on Trouble and Mike Will Made-It's Edgewood project.
Unfortunately, the rapper turned himself into police last month in regards to four drug charges including possession of a schedule I or II controlled substance with intent to distribute. He won't be able to fully reap the benefits of a Drake feature behind bars, but it's still a great look for the hard-working Atlanta rapper. Last summer, he delivered a solid collection of music with his 16 (A Collection) mixtape. With new attention, it's likely that some of his previous quality work will be uncovered by new fans.
There isn't a release date for Edgewood, but for the time being, listen to "Bring It Back" below and stay tuned for the official music video.
