Mayweather vs. McGregor will air in 400 movie theaters across the country

If watching the Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor fight on pay-per-view for $100 doesn't sound great to you, there's another option. You can catch the big event in a movie theater near you for cheaper.

Fathom Events and Mayweather Promotions are teaming up and bringing the August 26th fight to 400 select movie theaters across the country. While ticket prices will vary from theater to theater, prices likely will be somewhere around $40.

The movie theater broadcast will be identical to Showtime's PPV telecast. It will kick off at 9 P.M and conclude around 1 A.M. In addition to the main event, it will include the undercard, which has yet to be announced but likely will feature Savannah Marshall, Badou Jack, and Gervonta Davis, who all are represented by Mayweather Promotions.

"The buzz that my fight against Conor McGregor is getting has been great already, so what better way to watch this larger-than-life event than on the big screen?” We brought boxing back to movie theaters eight years ago and it was a huge success, but this event is on a different level.” - Mayweather

It will be almost impossible for the fight to live up to the hype, but one thing for sure is that the weeks leading up to it will be entertaining especially the Showtime All Access: Mayweather Vs. McGregor series that debuts this Friday (June 28th).
