Drake continues the island vibes on "Signs," a new song released as a collaboration with Louie Vuitton
On Thursday (June 22nd), Drake debuted a new song titled "Signs" at the Louis Vuitton Men's Spring/Summer 2018 collection during Paris Fashion Week. The Noah “40” Shebib produced song is part of a partnership with the high end fashion brand, which was announced earlier in the week by OVO Sound co-founder Oliver El-Khatib and LV artistic director Kim Jones via Instagram.
"Signs" is Drake's first solo release since March's excellent More Life playlist that shattered all types of streaming records. If you're a big fan of that 22 track collection of music, then you will most likely enjoy "Signs," which has a similar vibe to "Madlib Raddim," "Blem," and "Passion Fruit," standout tracks off More Life. A even better comparison may be "One Dance," a single off Views, which many consider to be the best record in Drake's entire catalogue and kicked off his marathon of genre-blending tunes.
"Signs" is packed with island vibes as Drake effortlessly floats over 40's flavorful production. The result is a good one and makes it a likely candidate to be the soundtrack to summer. Relaxing at the beach, mingling at cookouts or celebrating life on rooftops, the song will undoubtely set the mood and influence good times.
"Champagne with breakfast while I'm yawning
You can't drink all day if you don't start in the morning
Lord forgive me, I can't take things slowly (No)
I'm goin' on them once I get going (No-no)"
With the official version finally surfacing on Spotify, Apple Music, and TIDAL late last night (June 24th), expect this to shoot up the Billboard charts very soon. Enjoy "Signs" below via Spotify and stay tuned for more music from Drizzy.
