In celebration of The Eminem Show’s 15th anniversary, Eminem releases a special collection of merchandise via his online store.
Several packages are available with the price ranging from $30 to $250. The cheapest package features a poster and cassette while the most expensive package features a T-shirt, autographed poster, and cassette. For more details and to purchase the packages, visit his store.
Eminem also recently took to Instagram, posting a photo of a hand written letter that revealed the concept for The Eminem Show was inspired by The Truman Show.
“The concept 4 the Eminem show was inspired by The Truman Show because my life felt like it was becoming a circle around that time and I felt like I was always being watched. Basically Jimmy Carrey wrote my album.”
In that movie, Jim Carrey's character, Truman Burbank's life was the center of a TV show without him knowing.
In a way, it's similar to Eminem's life in the early 2000s. He won a Grammy for The Slim Shady LP in 2000 and The Marshall Mathers LP in 2001 as well as had a successful film in 8 Mile. During this time, Eminem was the center of attention and it wasn't always a good thing.
