Fresh off 'True To Self' album, Bryson Tiller announces 'Set It Off' Tour with H.E.R. and Metro Boomin
Last Friday (May 26th), Bryson Tiller surprised fans by releasing his sophomore album True To Self a month early, providing plenty of music to keep in rotation over Memorial Day weekend and beyond.
It's early so the verdict on the album isn't in yet but if we're talking sales then it's likely a success. It's expected that he will sell between 100,000 to 130,000 copies and reach number one on the Billboard 200 chart. Not a bad feat for a guy that has only really been around for a couple years, huh?
Keeping the momentum going, he announces the Set It Off Tour via Instagram. Joing Tiller on the road will be H.E.R. and Metro Boomin, who is fresh off a release of his own in his collaborative album with Gucci Mane, Drop Top Wop. The tour will hit 27 cities including Atlanta, Houston, Miami, New York, Philadelphia, and Boston.
Last year, I saw Tiller at House of Blues Boston and came away impressed. He brought a boatload of energy, had the stage presence of someone with more experience, and controlled the crowd from the first song in his set to the very last one.
If you haven't seen him live yet, do yourself a favor and catch him when he rolls through your city. Tickets for Set It Off go on sale June 2nd via www.trapsoul.com.
