Waze Launches Waze Audio Player, A New Built-In Audio Player That Lets Drivers Listen To Audio From Various Third Party Apps
Waze is looking to become more than a navigation app with the launch of Waze Audio Player, a new built-in audio player that lets drivers listen to music, podcasts, audiobooks, radio, and news all within the Waze app.
"Built to make sure every Wazer can have the best time possible on the road, the Waze Audio Player seamlessly streams your favorite audio app with your Waze directions and alerts," the company wrote in a blog post.
Joining Spotify, the Waze Audio Player will support Pandora, Deezer, iHeartRadio, NPR One, Scribd, Stitcher, and TuneIn.
In order to use these third party apps, users will need to make sure that they have the latest version of the apps and then synch them with Waze. Once the apps are connected, users can control apps and toggle between them via a drop down panel at the top of the Waze app.
Waze Audio Player is currently only available to the Waze Beta Community, but will be rolled out to everyone in the near future.
