Vine may be making comeback in the form of Vine 2.0.
It looks like Vine, the popular short-form video social platform, may be making a comeback. Dom Hofmann, the co-founder of Vine, took to Twitter last Wednesday (December 6th) to announce that he is working on Vine 2.0., a follow-up to Vine, which was shut down in 2016 after Twitter struggled to find ways to grow its user base and make money.

According to his tweets, Vine 2.0. will be a self-funded project that won't interfere with the other work he is doing at Interspace. It will also be rooted on three principles: give an equal voice to every artist, be as generous as possible to every artist, and foster a civilized, kind, inclusive, and absolutely non-toxic community. Besides this, there isn't too much known about what Vine 2.0. will be, but Hoffman plans on providing updates as the project develops.
i'm funding it myself as an outside project, so it doesn't interfere with the (quite exciting) work we're doing at the company, which is my first priority
