You Can Show Share A Shazam In Your Instagram Stories
Following in the footsteps of Spotify, Pandora, and SoundCloud, Shazam becomes the latest music app to get integration with Instagram Stories.
Shazam users can now share a Shazam in their Instagram Stories. The process of sharing a Shazam is relatively simple. After identifying a song as you normally would with the app, tap the share button and Instagram will be listed along the sharing options for apps. From there, select Instagram and that will generate the artwork of the Shazam as a Story. Underneath it will be a button that says "More on Shazam.” When someone clicks the button, it will bring them to the song page in the Shazam app.
As of now, the feature is only available for iOS devices with the latest versions of Shazam and Instagram. Android devices are expected to have access to the feature in the near future.
It seems like it’s only a matter of time until Apple Music and TIDAL make their way into Instagram Stories. The integration of music with social media has been a big trend in 2018. With music being one of the few things that connects us all, it’s not surprising. It will be interesting to see how Instagram as well as other social media apps take advantage of this in the future.
Just last week, Facebook announced a trio of new music-related features including Song On Profile.
