Periscope has launched a trio of new Broadcast Editing tools. The Twitter-owned live streaming platform recently made the announcement in a blog post. Designed to increase engagement on stream replays, the tools are the following:

Pick A Thumbnail

Previously, broadcasters could only use an auto-generated thumbnail from the beginning of their broadcasts. Now, they have the ability to select a thumbnail from any part of their broadcast. As a result, they will be able to choose a thumbnail that highlights their broadcast the best and is the most interesting.

Edit Broadcast Title

Once a broadcast has ended, broadcasters can edit the title of it, which is helpful in cases where there are typos or when broadcasters have thought of a more engaging title.

Choose A Start Point

Broadcasters have the ability to set a custom start point, allowing viewers to start the broadcast at the most exciting or relevant point. Sometimes, broadcasters will spend the first few minutes of their broadcast waiting for people to join so with this tool, they can skip past that.
