Blizzard Entertainment, the developer of the popular digital collectible card game, Hearthstone, has announced the launch of a new Hearthstone Creator Program. The program is designed to give creators the opportunity to showcase their love for Hearthstone and help them grow.

Who Is Eligible

Hearthstone initially set minimum guidelines for creators to be eligible for the program, including the percentage of Hearthstone-related content that creators share, the number of followers or subscribers they have, and the consistency of their uploads. These guidelines vary depending on whether a creator is a Twitch streamer, YouTuber, podcast host, or traditional social media influencer. For instance, Twitch streamers are expected to have at least 60% of their content dedicated to Hearthstone as well as 5000 followers and 200 concurrent viewers.

After some pushback from the creator community regarding these guidelines, Hearthstone said that the guidelines are recommendations and creators of all sizes are welcome to apply for consideration. Creators can express their interest by filling out a form that will provide contact information, content creation details, and more.

What’s In It For Creators

Selected participants will have early access to future content, direct communication with the Hearthstone Development team, and exclusive codes and bundles to share with their communities. They also will have the opportunity to attend special events like playtesting and will receive special gifts like merchandise.

An Uptick In Creator Programs and Networks

Recently, more brands have launched their own creator programs and networks, as they have realized the significance of creators to their business. The Hearthstone Creator Program is one such program, allowing the brand to closely collaborate with its creator community on key initiatives. This program offers creators a rare chance to receive recognition for their efforts, although it doesn't seem like cash incentives will be provided. Instead, creators will benefit from unique perks, such as access to IP and giveaway codes, which can enhance the quality of their content and interaction with their followers.
