Gucci Mane launches his long-awaited DELANTIC clothing line
Fresh off the release of his memoir, The Autobiography of Gucci Mane and a new single in "Curve" featuring The Weekend, Gucci Mane launches his new clothing line DELANTIC. Named after the rapper's government name of Radric Delantic Davis, the brand stands for "independence, as a business, as an aspiration, as a culture" and is inspired by his hometown of East Atlanta, Georgia.
For the passion project, Gucci teams up with long-time business partner and friend, Todd Moscowitz, who is the co-founder of 300 Entertainment. Austin Rosen, a retail executive at Theory and Minya Oh (Miss Info), a radio personality and style director for Stadium Goods, are also partners in brand. As for creative direction, Peter and Patty Chung, who both have worked with well-respected brands like Nike, Supreme, and UNDERCOVER contribute.
The initial launch is made up of four t-shirts that feature artwork by Raymond Pettibon, Harmony Korine, Jayson Musson, Kristofferson San Pablo, Sang Bleu and more. Available in a range of colors that include black, white, pink, yellow, gray, and light blue, the shirts are part of an on-going series called Fan Fiction.
