Last year, Vine co-founder Dom Hofmann announced that he was working on Vine 2.0, but eventually put the project on hold. However, Hofmann recently took to Twitter to announce Byte as Vine’s successor. The new video looping app is expected to be launched sometime in spring 2019.

Besides Hofmann’s tweet, there isn’t too much information about Byte. To find out more about the app in the near future, you can sign up for email updates on the website as well as follow the app on Twitter, Instagram and YouTube. Additionally, if you happen to be a creator, you can apply to join Byte’s Creator Program by filling out a form here.
