A look at the University of North Carolina football team's new Jordan Brand uniforms

The University of North Carolina Tar Heels join the University of Michigan Wolverines and become only the second major college football team to partner with Jordan Brand for uniforms.

Wearing the Nike Mach Speed chassis, a innovation uniform that is designed to maximize the athlete's range of motion and increase breathability, the Tar Heels will sport three different looks throughout the season.

Their home jerseys will be traditional Carolina Blue, their away jerseys will be white, and their alternate jerseys will be navy blue, which pays homage to the UNC basketball practice shorts that Michael Jordan always wore underneath his Chicago Blues'uniform.  In addition, each uniform will include the argyle neck pattern that has been a staple for Tar Heel uniforms for the past 25 years.

The Tar Heels will debut the new uniforms when they open up their season at home against the University of California Golden Bears on September 2nd at Kenan Memorial Stadium in Chapel Hill, NC.
